Abstract
Throughout the years, stereotypes and misconceptions regarding Asian have been portrayed in movies and television shows in the name of comedic relief or exoticism. These stereotypes and misconceptions have led to prejudices towards certain groups of people before they get to know them personally in their lives. People have been suffering from the hatred and violence caused towards them based on these prejudices and stereotypes. Stereotypes and discrimination seriously affect people’s mental health like blaming and hating themselves.
